Welcome to our blog at CrossFit Allegiance, where we dive into the exciting world  Jiu-Jitsu!

Our most recent testimonial. I just had to share because this warms my heart and is exactly the kind of atmosphere we work at creating for our members. Thank you Amy! I started here in 2019, and through COVID, injuries (not CrossFit’s fault—that was me, entirely), and just life being life, this gym has become family. There’s no judgment here—only acceptance, laughter, encouragement, and genuine support. I’ve built friendships that I know will last well beyond the gym walls. A huge part of that is the coaching. Jill and Eric are welcoming, knowledgeable, and truly care about the people who walk through the door. If I don’t show up for a week, I get a text asking where I am and if I’m okay. That kind of care makes a difference. What I love about CrossFit Allegiance is that everyone belongs. It doesn’t matter your size, age, profession, confidence level, fitness background, or whether you’ve ever touched a barbell before. Some CrossFit gyms can make people feel “less than” for carrying extra weight, not knowing the movements, or being new to exercise altogether. That has never been my experience here. Here, you’re welcomed exactly as you are, any time. On any given day, you’ll see high school students working out alongside people in their 60s, 70s, and even 80s—laughing, chatting, and sweating together. No one is expected to RX a workout. Ever. Every workout is scaled to the individual. The only real expectation is that you show up. And even “doing your best” is negotiable some days. Just move your body for an hour. Do what you can today and show up tomorrow. And if you are competitive, there’s absolutely a place for you too. There are some incredible athletes here—people who compete in CrossFit competitions, push themselves against their gym mates, and are absolute beasts. What’s remarkable is that they’re just as welcoming, encouraging, and friendly as everyone else. There’s no ego, no hierarchy—just people working hard and cheering each other on. When I started, I could barely do a single push-up—on my knees. A pull-up was impossible. Now, I can deadlift my body weight. I can do 10 real push-ups. I’m stronger at 55½ than I was in my teens and twenties. I’ve lost 20 pounds, and more importantly, I feel better in my body than I have in years. If you’ve ever even thought you might like to try CrossFit, do it—and come to CrossFit Allegiance. You won’t regret it. We’ll be waiting for you!
